Research Grant Opportunities 2018
Alhamdulillah, grant opportunities! Despite the budget cut down for most local universities this year, there are still opportunities out there for research grants. I am posting these grant links that I received in my email for reference (before they are drowned by other emails that end up leaving me forget the deadlines). I haven't checked the details of all yet, so I am not sure whether all of these are related to studies in the built environment or not. So let's check them out:
1. EUROPE MSCA INDIVIDUAL FELLOWSHIP
The goal of the Individual Fellowships is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of experienced researchers, wishing to diversify their individual competence in terms of skill acquisition through advanced training, international and intersectoral mobility. Individual Fellowships provide opportunities to researchers of any nationality to acquire and transfer new knowledge and to work on research and innovation in Europe (EU Member States and Horizon 2020 Associated Countries) and beyond. The scheme particularly supports the return and (re)integration of European researchers from outside Europe and those who have previously worked here, as well as researchers displaced by conflict outside the EU and Horizon 2020 Associated Countries. It also promotes the career restart of individual researchers who show great potential.
Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020) – in addition to the private investment that this money will attract. It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market. To find out more, please visit the Participant Portal.
If you think you can explain a scientific concept to a general audience,
in just three minutes, then why not enter? You could become the new
face of science, represent your country at the FameLab International
final in the UK, and open doors to global opportunities in science
communication!
ERCIM, the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics,
offers fellowships for PhD holders from all over the world. Topics
cover most disciplines in Computer Science, Information Technology, and
Applied Mathematics. Fellows are hosted in Fellows are hosted in leading
research institututes across Europe. Details https://fellowship.ercim.eu/
6. DOCTORAL STUDENTSHIP
This scheme enables researchers to undertake humanities or social science doctoral degrees in any area of health.
7. APEC PROJECT FUNDING
There are four main sources of funding for APEC projects: the General Project Account (GPA), the Trade and Investment Liberalisation and Facilitation Account (TILF), the APEC Support Fund (comprising a General Fund and a number of Sub-Funds) and self-funding.
If there are any other relevant grant that you know, do share with me. Thank you.
